My Spring Break 2011

This past spring break was one of the best yet! It started out on Tuesday night with my friends Katie, Alexa, and me hanging out with our friends Dennis and Alexander. Then on Wednesday, I went to my friend Shea's house with her, Amanda, Emily, Katie, and Alexa. We hung out in her room and then some of our guy friends from LaSalle came over. Thursday morning I got my nails done at Twinkling Nails, and then that night my friend Bridget had a party. The next day is when the real fun started. I play for a club volleyball team, Highline Volleyball Academy, on 15 Black. We had our biggest tournament of the year this past weekend, the Northeast Qualifier in Baltimore, Maryland. If you do well enough in the tournament, you qualify for Volleyball Nationals in Tuscon, Arizona every June. Despite being delayed a few hours by my friend's mom Mrs. Steiger, we were able to make it to Baltimore  by 2pm on Friday for our 2:30 game. Unfortunately, things didn't go as we had wanted, and we only were able to win one out of the three games we played Friday afternoon. That placed us in the silver bracket on Saturday, as opposed to the gold bracket. We left the venue around 8pm on Friday and ventured to our hotel, the beautiful Mariott Waterfront right on Baltimore's Inner Harbor. After a depressing Flyers loss in overtime, we went to bed awaiting the next day. Saturday we got up early and went to Urban Outfitters, my favorite store. I bought a lot of new clothes for summer, and then we had a nice lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Once again, we played at 2:30, and we were at the Baltimore Convention Center by 2. Things didn't go much better on Saturday. We lost all of our games except one, and in one game we were actually beat 25-4. Although the constant losing was depressing, we still managed to have a good time. We went to bed early on Saturday, and then Sunday was Easter! I was upset that I didn't get an Easter basket from my mom, but she got me candy later. On Sunday we lost our first game, resulting in us being able to go home. We had a nice brunch at the Intercontinental Hotel, then went home. A Flyers win topped the perfect day off, and as soon as I got home I fell asleep. My spring break was great!
